Albert Cardwell Joiner II

Albert Cardwell Joiner II, 81, of Anna, died at 10:45 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau.

He was born on Aug. 20, 1931, in Anna, the son of Albert Cardwell and Elizabeth “Betty” (Wright) Joiner.

He married Marilyn Joyce Hunsley on July 22, 1960, in Anna.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Joiner of Anna; one sister, Alice Kerns of Anna; one brother, Pete (Sue) Joiner of Clermont, Fla.; a nephew, Brent (Dana) Kerns of Glen Carbon; a niece, Allison (John) McDougall of Louisville, Colo.; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Joiner were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at the Edinburg Cemetery in Edinburg, Ill., with the Rev. Kathy Montira officiating. Interment was in the Edinburg Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church in Anna or to PAWS Place in Anna.
