Andrew J. Littlepage

Andrew J. Littlepage, 95, of Pekin, died at 2:50 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at Pekin Manor. He was formerly of Anna.

He was born on Oct. 25, 1918, in Elmo, Mo., the son of Samuel Joseph and Maud Jessie Meneese Littlepage.

He married Maxine Caraker on July 2, 1940, in Cape Girardeau. She died in 1987. He later married Mary Lou Collins Prater in 1988 in Paducah. She died on Sept. 20, 2010, in Murphysboro.

He also was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Curtis A. Littlepage; one daughter, Juanita Joyce  Littlepage; and four brothers, Marion Littlepage, Robert Littlepage, Everett Littlepage and Arthur Littlepage.

Surviving are one son, Gary (Betty Draher) Littlepage of Pekin; three daughters, Edie Jordan, Katherine Gray and Carol (Paul) Snyder, all of Pekin; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Albert Littlepage of Strawsberg, Ohio, and Francis Littlepage of California; and two sisters, Bertha Caraker of Buncombe and Martha Cluver of Watseka.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the European Theater during World War II.

He retired as a control room operator from Corn Products Company in Pekin.

He was a member of Saline Lodge No. 339, Ancient Free & Accepted Masons in Goreville. He also was a member of the Mohammed Temple Shrine in Peoria.

He was formerly a member of Anna Heights Baptist Church.

He liked fishing and hunting.

Funeral services were Monday, Nov. 18, at 10 a.m. at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Pastor Kevin McNeely officiated.

Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Buncombe. Military graveside rites were accorded by Beggs-Gurley VFW Post No. 5222 and the Illinois National Guard burial honors detail.

Masonic rites were conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, by Saline Masonic Lodge No. 339 AF &AM.
