<p class="p1">Filming for a new motion picture, <a href="https://www.facebook.com/lovechroniclesofthecape" target="_blank">"Love Chronicles (of the Cape),"</a> took place during the second weekend of January in Cape Girardeau.
<p class="p2">The movie only had three days to complete filming and used several people from the area in the film.
<p class="p2">The film is described as a faux documentary about love with a comedic spin.
<p class="p1">Dongola High School honored basketball players who reached the 1,000-point career scoring mark this season. Kyle Cox and Alex Zeschke, both juniors, were pictured with Dongola head coach Kevin Cox. Both players have been varsity starters since their freshman seasons. Joe Aden holds the record for most points in a career at Dongola with 3,033. Aden, a 1958 graduate, is one of only five Illinois players to have scored over 3,000 points in a high school career. </p>
Shirley Wright, 76, of Anna, died at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015 at her home. She was born June 2, 1938 in Kirkwood, Missouri. She married William "Johnny" Wright on Sept. 15, 1973.
