Auditions planned for musical

The Shawnee Hills Arts Council of the Anna Arts Center and the PAST organization of Union County are planning to cosponsor a Civil War weekend Feb. 10-12, 2012, in Anna.

One of the major events planned during the weekend is a musical called "Lincoln: The Life and Times."

Auditions for the musical are scheduled from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19. The auditions will be at the Anna Arts Center at 117 W. Davie St. in Anna.

Those who want to audition are asked to prepare a one-minute song and to be ready to read from a script.

The cast will consist of 15 to 20 actors/singers ages 10 years to adult.

The musical is scheduled to be performed three times during the weekend at the arts center.

The schedule for performances is Friday, Feb. 10, at 7 p.m. during the sixth annual Lincoln Legacy Dinner; Saturday, Feb. 11, at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Feb. 12, at 2 p.m.
