Charles Kerr

Charles Kerr, 95, of Warren, Mich., and formerly of Dongola, died at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, at Medilodge of St. Clair in St. Clair, Mich.

He was born on Nov. 23, 1914, in Union County, the son of Charles and Maude Barringer Kerr.

He was an avid guitar player and liked fishing and gardening.

Mr. Kerr is survived by his three daughters, Sharon Davis of Algonac, Mich., Judy (Rollie) Smith of Edwardsville and Betty Kerr of Apple Valley, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Dixie Lee, Margie, Wilma and Winnie; and five brothers, Leo, Harold, Clinton, Gilbert and Bill.

Funeral services for Mr. Kerr will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, at Crain Funeral Home in Ullin with Pastor Bob Dickerson officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Wetaug.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, at Crain Funeral Home in Ullin.

Memorials can be made to the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.

Crain Funeral Home in Ullin is in charge of arrangements.
