Christmas project a success

To the editor,

The 2010 Union County Christmas project was again a great success and provided Christmas gifts for 386 children.

That success was due to the wonderful community that we live in.

Our community has been working together for many, many years to make Christmas better for those in need.

Our churches, civic groups and clubs, businesses and individuals all come together to make this project work.

Each year, we have special people, some we know and some we don't who help to bring everything together.

The community continues to support the project and the angel tree.

A special thank you to the child who brings in that extra toy or the woman that wants to do some last minute shopping for that hard to find clothing size. This is what makes this project special.

Union County shows it is a community of giving and sharing, the type of place you want to belong to and be from, a community with a big heart.
