Cobden celebrates homecoming

Homecoming activities are underway this week at Cobden High School.

The week’s activities will culminate with special events planned Friday and Saturday, Jan. 14-15, at the high school.

A homecoming basketball game and coronation ceremony are planned Friday, Jan. 14.

Cobden is scheduled to face Egyptian in a homecoming basketball game. Tipoff is at 5 p.m.

Coronation of the homecoming queen and king will take place following the game.

Queen candidates are Alysha Bottje, Samantha Flamm, Jordyn Grey, Rachel Nance and Kayla Quertermous.

King candidates are Bo Gearhart, Rob Lehr, Marcos Martinez, Steven Myers and Nathan Peebles.

Freshmen attendants are Audrey Sirles and Miguel Robles.

Sophomore attendants are Kristin Pender and Josh Aspen.

Junior attendants are Abby Brumleve and Jonathan Pearl.

Alumni basketball games begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15. A social event will follow the games.

Homecoming week features special activities each day:

Monday was Pajama Day. Tuesday was Tacky Tuesday.  Wednesday was Western Wednesday. Thursday is Shane Ninja Shirt Day. Friday is Appleknocker Day.
