Dick "Mailman" Ford

Dick "Mailman" Ford, 66, of Murray, Ky., died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, at the Murray Calloway County Hospital, in Murray, Ky.

Mr. Ford was born on Nov. 19, 1946, in Anna, the son of Garnet and Martha Wilson Ford.

He was a retired mail carrier with the United States Post Office, an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of the Galilee Baptist Church in Wolf Lake, a member of the Vietnam Veterans Motorcycle Club, the Optimist Club, the VFW and the Illinois Tractor Pull Association.

Survivors include his wife, Linda K. Ford of Murray, Ky., they married Aug. 18, 1967, in Wolf Lake; four daughters, Amy Fish and husband Kevin of Murray, Ky., Toni Lewis and husband Tim of Wolf Lake, Terri Ford of Murray, and April Curtis and husband Paul of Puryear, Tenn.; three brothers, Ronald Ford of Gorham, Donald Ford of Grand Tower, and David Ford of Cape Girardeau; 11 grandchildren, Maggie, Austin, Kayla, Savana, Morgan, Molly, Isaiah, Aliyah, Samuel, Garret and Waylon; and a lifelong friend, John Bludworth of Johnson City.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home in Murray, Ky.
