Don Fisher

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Don Fisher, 90, of Bedford, TX and formerly of Dongola, died at 3:45AM on December 7, 2011 at H.E.B. Hospital in Bedford, TX.</span></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;"> </span></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">He was born on March 29, 1921 in Dongola the son of Johnny O. and Nellie (Knupp) Fisher.<span style=""> </span> He married Esther Maxine Douglas on June 27, 1946 in Cobden.<span style=""> </span> She preceded him in death on February 13, 2011.</span></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;"> </span></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Don served his country honorably during World War II in Florida and Europe.<span style=""> </span> He worked through the years as a carpenter, farmer, small business owner, and Post Master in Dongola. Don was a member of Mt. Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Dongola, however he attended First Baptist Church in Dongola.<span style=""> </span> He and wife Esther enjoyed traveling, fishing, and spending time in Florida after retirement.<span style=""> </span> They moved to Bedford, Texas two years ago to be close to their son, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.<span style=""> </span></span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">He is survived by his son, Thomas B. (Pamela) Fisher of North Richland Hills, Texas; 3 grandchildren, Matthew B. (Angie) Fisher of Lewisville, Texas, Alexander C. (Michelle) Fisher of Colleyville, Texas and Courtney E. Fisher of North Richland Hills, Texas; 3 great grandchildren, Madelyn Fisher, Jax Fisher and Brooklyn Fisher; 3 sisters, Margaret Peeler of Dongola, Colleen Corzine of Dongola and Bonnie Jo Ford of Charlottesville, Virginia.</span></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;"> </span></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Visitation will be held on Friday, December 9, 2011 from 5-7PM at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola.</span></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;"> </span></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 11AM at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola with Rev. Paul Sadler officiating.<span style=""> </span> Interment will be in the American Legion Cemetery.<span style=""> </span></span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Memorial contribution may be made to the First Baptist Church in Dongola Multi Purpose Building Fund and will be accepted by the funeral.</span></strong></p>
