Doris Hayden, 57, of Anna, died at 10:46AM Friday, February 21, 2014 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Doris was born Nov. 7, 1956 in Carbondale, daughter of Leonard Leon and Edna Faye Duty Hopkins. Doris married Jeff Hayden Aug. 10, 1974.

She was a teacher at Anna Jr. High for 10 years, a member of local and state Teacher’s Association. Doris was an avid softball and volleyball fan, mainly of her children. She loved spending time with her grandson Hayden.

Survivors include her husband, Jeff Hayden of Anna; 3 daughters, Sarah (Zach) Morris of St. Charles, MO, Jennifer Hayden of Anna, IL, and Rachel Hayden of Liberty, MO; grandson Hayden Morris of St. Charles, MO; 3 sisters Jane Glaab of Cape Girardeau, MO, Marsha Hopkins, niece and nephew Matt Widdows and Amy Widdows of Phoenix, AZ, sister, Debbie (Alex) Heidari, nephews, Ben and Dan Heidari of St. Paul, MO; many nieces, nephews and many beloved family.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Faye Hopkins, son Timothy Andrew Hayden, nephew Adam Heidari, father-in-law Rosswell Hayden.

Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 24, 2014 from 5PM to 9PM at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro.

Funeral Services will be held at 1PM, Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014 at Crain Funeral Home Anna-Jonesboro. Interment to follow at Oakland Cemetery in Carbondale.

Memorial contributions can be made to General Education Fund at Anna Jr. High and will be accepted at the funeral home.
