Editorial: Thank you

<p class="p1">This week, we pause to recognize two special persons for their many years of service to the people of Union County.</p><p class="p1">We salute David Livesay, who served in law enforcement for many years, most recently as the sheriff of Union County.</p><p class="p1">We also recognize Don Denny for his service as a member of the Union County Board of Commissioners.</p><p class="p1"> Sheriff Livesay and Commissioner Denny each chose not to seek reelection in 2014. </p><p class="p1">Sheriff Livesay was honored at a recent reception which was held in Anna. A similar tribute was paid to Commissioner Denny last Friday evening, also in Anna.</p><p class="p1">Each of these men have made many positive contributions during their service to the people Union County. We take this opportunity to voice our appreciation to each of them for a job well done.</p>
