Electa Dillow Hayes
<p style="line-height: 115%;" class="MsoNormal"><strong style=""><span style="font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">Electa (Bill) Dillow Hayes, 99, of Anna, died at 10:30a.m. on Monday, December 5, 2011, at Union County Hospital.</span></strong></p>
<p style="line-height: 115%;" class="MsoNormal"><strong style=""><span style="font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style=""> </span> She was born in Anna on February 4, 1912, where she remained a lifelong resident.<span style=""> </span> She was the daughter of Ora and Stella (Campbell) Dillow.</span></strong></p>
<p style="line-height: 115%;" class="MsoNormal"><strong style=""><span style="font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style=""> </span> On March 15, 1931, she married Glenn L. (Peck) Hayes in Jonesboro, and they enjoyed 52 wonderful years together.<span style=""> </span> He preceded her in death on October 14, 1983.</span></strong></p>
<p style="line-height: 115%;" class="MsoNormal"><strong style=""><span style="font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style=""> </span> She was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister (Edna McGill), and two brothers (Paul Dillow and Fount Dillow).</span></strong></p>
<p style="line-height: 115%;" class="MsoNormal"><strong style=""><span style="font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style=""> </span> She was a member of the Anna First Baptist Church for many years, and she participated in several church activities.<span style=""> </span> Over the years, she loved working in Vacation Bible School, taking care of the children in the church nursery, and helping with Leisure Club.<span style=""> </span> Also, she retired as the head cook from Lincoln Elementary School in 1977.</span></strong></p>
<p style="line-height: 115%;" class="MsoNormal"><strong style=""><span style="font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style=""> </span> Electa is survived by her two daughters, Wilma (Frank) Toler of Kankakee and Glenna Sue (Malcolm) Kahn of Miami, Florida.<span style=""> </span> She has one grandson, Daniel Hayes Kahn of Washington, D.C.</span></strong></p>
<p style="line-height: 115%;" class="MsoNormal"><strong style=""><span style="font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style=""> </span> Contributions may be made in her memory to Anna First Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.</span></strong></p>
<p style="line-height: 115%;" class="MsoNormal"><strong style=""><span style="font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style=""> </span> Friends may call after 10:30a.m. until the funeral service at 11:30a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2011, at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.<span style=""> </span> Reverend Les Sinks of Anna First Baptist Church will officiate with Reverend Jerry McGill, her nephew, assisting. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery.<span style=""> </span></span></strong></p>
