Frank Lyle Petty

<p style="line-height: 150%;" class="MsoNormalCxSpFirst"><strong style=""><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="">           </span></span> Mr. Frank Lyle Petty, age 81 of Anna, passed away at 12:15 p.m. Sunday, December 26, 2010 at the Union County Hospital in Anna. He was born August 16, 1929 in Harrisburg, IL, the son of Frank Givens and Mabel Wallace Petty. He married Margaret Anne Keller on May 11, 1951 in Anna; she preceded him in death on January 10, 2008.</strong></p>

<p style="text-indent: 0.5in; line-height: 150%;" class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle"><strong style="">Frank is survived by three children, Frank Don Petty and wife Megan Devlin-Petty of Bloomington, IL, Stephen Lyle Petty of Anna, and Anne Marie Petty Johnson and husband Todd of Davis Junction, IL; two grandchildren, Robert Frank Leitzen of Cortland, IL an Jesica Marie Leitzen of Davis Junction, IL; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Margaret.</strong></p>

<p style="line-height: 150%;" class="MsoNormal"><strong style=""><span style="">           </span> Frank was a member of the Anna First Baptist Church where he was a deacon and usher.<span style=""> </span> He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a past member of the Cobden Masonic Lodge and the Cobden Lion’s Club.<span style=""> </span> He was a partner and owner of the Petty Oil Company in Cobden for many years and was a retired rural mail carrier.<span style=""> </span> He was a member of the National and Illinois Rural Letter Carriers Association and was past president of the Illinois Association.</strong></p>

<p style="text-indent: 0.5in; line-height: 150%;" class="MsoNormal"><strong style="">Funeral Services for Mr. Frank Lyle Petty will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 30, 2010 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. Clifford Heil officiating. Interment will be in the Anna Cemetery with military honors at the graveside by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the VFW in Anna and the Illinois National Guard Honor Team in Marion. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Illinois Veteran’s Home-Activity Fund. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.</strong></p>
