Gary Beisner

<strong>Gary Beisner, 64, of Anna, died at 6:37AM, Tuesday, November 06, 2012 at his home surrounded by family.</strong>

<strong>He was born on February 23, 1948 in Murphysboro, IL the son of William August and Ola Mabel (Nelson) Beisner.  He married Penny Garrett on June 2, 1973.  She survives him. </strong>

<strong>He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict.  He loved working with horses, leather and spending time with his grandchildren.  He worked at Caterpillar in East Peoria prior to living in Saratoga, WY and working as a heavy equipment mechanic.  Gary had also worked at AJ Motors as a mechanic for over 20 years as well as owning and operating Beisner Trucking. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #581 in Dongola.</strong>

<strong>He is survived by his wife, Penny of Anna; 2 daughters, Heather (Brian) Llewellyn of Anna and Becky (Eddie) Aldrich of Ullin; 4 grandchildren, Drew and Brandon Shaffer and Emily and Natalie Aldrich; his siblings, Doris (Harold) Lunsford of Campbell Hill, Alma White of Murphysboro, Jim (Helen) Beisner of Anna, Billie Ruth (Gordon) Gale of Gorham, Raymond (Grace) Beisner of Havelock, N.C., Donna (Ron) Stone of Du Quoin, Connie Morber of Campbell Hill, Lester Beisner of Anna and Nelson Dale Beisner of Ava; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

<strong>He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Bob Beisner, nephews and 1 great niece.</strong>

<strong>Visitation will be held from 10-11AM, Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro.</strong>

<strong>Memorial services will be held at 11AM on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro with Pastor Bob Richardson officiating, Masonic services will be conducted by Dongola Masonic Lodge #581 and military honors by the VFW Post #3455 and the Illinois National Guard. Private interment will follow at a later date at Anna City Cemetery.

<strong>Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.</strong>
