Gladys Shelton Stark

Gladys Shelton Stark, 87, of Anna, formerly of Jonesboro, died at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, at her home in Anna.

She was born May 15, 1923, in Jonesboro, the daughter of Samuel W. and Maude Hensley Shelton.

She married Ivan L. Stark on Nov. 17, 1944, in Jonesboro. He preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 2009.

Gladys is survived by nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ivan; two sisters, Clara Caldwell and Dorothy Ury; and four brothers, Lloyd, Elbert, Oley and Junior Shelton.

Gladys was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jonesboro for many years. She was retired from Choate Mental Health as a secretary in the business office.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Shelton Stark were at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Joe Aldridge officiating. Interment was in the Anna Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church in Jonesboro.
