Harold Kirk Tite

Harold Kirk Tite, 68, a resident of Ullin, died Monday evening, Dec. 6, 2010, at 9:30 p.m. at his home.

Kirk was born Sept. 4, 1942, in Gallatin County. He was the son of Wilford Tite and Tressie (Scarborough) Tite.

Kirk was formerly united in marriage to Marilyn (Schierbaum) Tite.

Survivors include his children, Rodney and Lori Tite of Ullin, Starla and Allen Harris of Galatia, Roger and Alicia Tite of Coulterville, Sharla and Bill Girten of Galatia, Shelli Drue of Mulkeytown, and Sheila Laster of Vienna; several grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Libby Bundren of Ozark; a brother, Harley Tite of Ozark; his loving companion, Norma Adami of Ullin; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Kirk was preceded in death by a sister, Cindy McCabe; and three brothers, Kelly Tite, Esdon Tite and Jerry Tite; and a grandson, Caleb Joshua Tite.

Kirk was a mechanic.  He was employed by Barter Construction Company as a mechanic on the Interstate 24 construction project.  He then worked for approximately 20 years in the mechanical maintenance department of Electric Energy, Inc. (EEI) in Joppa.

Kirk was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and camping. Kirk had a very strong work ethic and was of the Christian faith.

A prayer service will be conducted Thursday evening, Dec. 9, 2010, at 7 p.m. at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. The Rev. Pete Vinson will officiate.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
