Harvey M. Weaver
Harvey M. Weaver, 81, of rural Dongola, entered into rest at 7:05 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016 at his home. He was born Nov. 20, 1934 in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, the son of David O. and Lizzie Martin Weaver. He married Laura N. Martin on Feb. 27, 1954 in Ephrata, Pennsylvanua, together they shared 54 years of marriage.
He is survived by his four sons and daughters in law, Glen and Wanda Weaver, Richard and Ruth Weaver, Clair and Rhoda Weaver and Ernest and Regina Weaver all of Dongola; six daughters, Janet, Eileen, Cheryl and Sharon Weaver all of Dongola, Velma and James Brubaker of Gardners, Pennsylvania, and Joan and Donald Yoder of Barnesville, Georgia; 58 grandchildren; 51 living great-grandchildren; two sisters, Esther and Willis Martin of Pennsylvania, and Ruth Silverman of California; two brothers, Luke and Edna Weaver and Melvin and Laura Weaver all of Pennsylvania; four sisters in law, Mabel and Titus Martin, Mary and Melvin Martin of Pennsylvania, Reba Sensenig of Pennsylvania, and Lizzie Weaver of Anna. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Laura N. Weaver; four brothers; four sisters and one great grandchild.
He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Mennonite Church for many years. He was a long time farmer in Union County since moving to the area in 1961.
Funeral services were at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016 in the Mt. Pleasant Mennonite Church. Interment was in the adjoining church cemetery.
