Healthy Woman program event planned on Feb. 1

The Union County Hospital Healthy Woman program plans to host an event on Monday, Feb. 1.

Beth Walker from the American Heart Association is scheduled to be guest speaker at the program.

The free event is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the second-floor conference room at Union County Hospital at 517 N. Main St. in Anna.

Preregistration is encouraged, since seating is limited.

Refreshments will be served and a door prize drawing is planned.

The program will feature some tips for fighting heart disease, along with information about what the American Heart Association is doing to help fight the number one killer among women through education and community awareness.

Information will be available about an upcoming event the American Heart Association plans to have at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.

The Feb. 1 program also will feature information about healthy eating and “Dining Out Done Right” from the Heart Smart Campaign for Women.
