Hunting violations addressed in recent court dispositions
January dispositions reported by the Union County state's attorney's office in Jonesboro included six cases which involved hunting violations.
Disposition of all of the cases occurred on Jan. 10.
A Poplar Bluff, Mo., resident was cited for three violations: falsification of residency to obtain a resident archery deer permit, falsification of residency to obtain a resident hunting license and unlawful hunting of white-tailed deer without the consent of the landowner.
In each case, disposition included 18 months of conditional discharge and a fine.
A Cape Girardeau resident was cited for unlawful possession of a white-tailed deer.
The disposition of the case included 12 months of conditional discharge, a fine, and forfeit of a gun and a 5-point deer rack to Illinois conservation police.
Two Villa Park residents also were cited for hunting violations.
One was cited for possession of deer in violation of administrative rule. One was cited for unlawful transfer of a deer permit.
Both received 12 months of court supervision and were ordered to pay a fine.
