A-J football players earn All-South honors

Two members of the Anna-Jonesboro Community High School football team have been selected to the 2012 Southern Illinois Coaches Association All-South football team.
A-J junior Damian Reed and senior Logan Tripp earned All-South recognition.
Reed was a first-team Southern Illinois River-to-River Mississippi Division Conference selection as both a running back and linebacker.
He rushed for 835 yards, scored nine touchdowns and recorded five, 2-point conversion runs.
He had 222 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. He also added 109 yards passing with a TD.
Tripp, a 6-1, 240-pound lineman, won the Whitey Miller Award and was a first-team all-conference selection on both the offensive and defensive lines.
