A-J scores 60-50 victory over Goreville
Anna-Jonesboro built an early lead on its way to a 60-50 win over Goreville in second-round action at the Harrisburg Invitational high school boys’ basketball tournament Wednesday, Dec. 2.
The Wildcats were ahead 17-11 after one quarter and 30-22 at the half. A-J led 43-36 going into the final period.
Jordan Adams scored 16 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, to lead A-J. Tylor Duckworth added 14 points and 16 rebounds.
Cody Livesay had two 3-pointers and finished with 13 points. J.R. Woodward had 9 points and 3 rebounds. Brady Wright had 6 points and 6 rebounds.Travis Smith had 2 points.
The Wildcats were 14 of 36 in shot attempts from the floor, 4 of 8 from 3-point range and 20 of 31 from the free throw line.
A-J improved to 2-0 with the victory.
