Other program guests were Judy Travelstead and Doug Hileman from the Union County Courthouse committee.

They showed photos and gave information about the deteriorating condition of the courthouse.

They asked for public consideration for the future of the home of county government.

Public affairs is another focus of Federated Women’s Clubs.

The club’s next meeting is set for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, at the United Methodist Church in Anna.

This is a change from the regular meeting day because of a district women’s club meeting.

On the December meeting program are a cultural arts presentation by a group from the Anna Arts Center and a Christmas devotion by Pastor Bill Minor.

There will be a brief business meeting and members will bring Christmas goodies to share in a festive mood.
