Jack E. Treece

Jack E. Treece, 66, of Jonesboro, died at 3:50 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born on May 31, 1942, in Jonesboro, the son of Hollie E. and Ruby Garrett Treece.

He married Delilah Woody on July 2, 1977, in Sparta. 

Mr. Treece is survived by his wife, Delilah Treece of Jonesboro; two sons, Kerry Treece of Wetaug and Clifford Treece of Makanda; one daughter, Dorinda Treece of Anna; one brother, Danny Treece of Jonesboro; one brother-in-law, Wayne Mayberry of Jonesboro; a niece, Patricia Prater of Louisiana; a nephew, Cody Mayberry of Jonesboro; six grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and by a sister, Beverly Mayberry.

He attended the Jonesboro United Methodist Church. He retired from the Trojan Powder Company in Wolf Lake and later retired from the A-J Water Commission in Jonesboro.

Funeral services for Mr. Treece were held Feb. 19 at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with the Rev. Robert Fear officiating. Interment will be in the Kelley Cemetery east of Cobden.
