James P. McLaughlin

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 16pt;">James P. McLaughlin, 73, of Dongola, formerly of Chicago, died at 11:20AM Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at his residence.</span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 16pt;"> </span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 16pt;">He was born on March 25, 1938 in Chicago the son of Daniel and Mary McLaughlin.<span style=""> </span> He married Judith Widmann on October 1, 1966.<span style=""> </span> She survives him.</span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 16pt;"> </span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 16pt;">He retired from Milwaukee Railroad where he worked as an electrician for 42 years as a loyal member of IBEW Local 885.<span style=""> </span> He was of the Catholic faith at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Anna.</span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 16pt;"> </span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 16pt;">He is survived by his wife, Judy;</span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 16pt;">Children, Daniel (Tami) McLaughlin of Crystal Lake, Valerie (Michael) Keller of Marengo and Elizabeth McLaughlin of Park Forest;</span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 16pt;">Grandchildren, Max, Amelia, Liam,<span style=""> </span> and Sean Keller and Declan and Finnbar McLaughlin;</span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 16pt;">Sisters, Frances (Nels) Stark of Dixon and Agnes Krus of Des Plaines.</span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 16pt;"> </span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 16pt;">He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary.</span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 16pt;"> </span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 16pt;">As per his wishes his body was donated to science.</span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 16pt;"> </span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 16pt;">Memorial mass will be held on March 24, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Marengo, Illinois.</span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 16pt;"> </span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 16pt;">Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society and can be mailed to the funeral home at 135 West Vienna, Anna, IL 62906.</span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 16pt;">Crain Funeral Home in Dongola is in charge of arrangements.</span></strong></p>
