Jenny Lee Baggett

<p class="p1">Jenny Lee Baggett, 83, of Makanda, died at 2:55 a.m. Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, at Carbondale Memorial Hospital.</p><p class="p1">She was born on Oct. 9, 1931, the daughter of Owen and Stella Furlow Deming in Cobden.</p><p class="p1">She married William Baggett on Aug. 4, 1950. Together they shared 64 years.</p><p class="p1">She had worked for the Glove Factory in Carbondale and was a homemaker. She liked to garden, read and crochet. She was a member of the Ladies Moose Auxiliary.</p><p class="p1">She is survived by her husband, William Baggett of Makanda; two daughters, Betty (James) Rowan of Dongola and Donna (Carl) Reed of Salem; two sons, William Baggett and fiancee Candice Clover of Makanda and Robert Baggett of Makanda; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Fry of Cobden; a brother, Donald Deming of Hammond, Indiana; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.</p><p class="p1">She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Charles Deming, David Deming, Junior Deming and an infant brother, Roger Dale Deming; a sister, Juanita Welch; and a great-great-grandson, Robert James Stroehlein.</p><p class="p1">Funeral services for Jenny Lee Baggett were Saturday, Dec. 27, at 11 a.m. at Crain Pleasant Grove-Murdale Funeral Home.
