Jerry Lee Westbrook
JERRY LEE WESTBROOK, age 69, of New Paris, OH, died Thursday, December 24, 2009 in New Paris, OH. Born on June 7, 1940 in Anna, IL,he was the son of the late Floyd A. & Vesta (Campbell) Westbrook Sr. Jerry had worked at Gear Works in Richmond, IN and Power Train at New Paris, OH. A U.S. Army veteran serving from 1963 to 1965, in a transportation unit and was an expert sharpshooter. Member of the American Legion Clarence Teaford Post #360 at New Paris, OH.
Survived by his wife of 41 years: Barbara J. (Steele) Westbrook; daughters & sons-in-law: Cindi & Scott Coddington of Fountain City, IN, and Debbie & Bill Abney of Richmond, IN. Brothers & sisters-in-law: Floyd & Brenda Westbrooks of Metroplis, IL and Richard & Karren Westbrook of Cobden, IL. Sisters & brothers-in-law: Bonnie & Jerry Holman and Lydia & Jeff Williams both of Cobdin, IL. Grandchildren: Katelyn Coddington and Cody Coddington. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, New Paris, OH with Chaplain David Garman officiating. Family will receive friends on Tuesday December 29, 2009 from 4 to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Spring Lawn cemetery at New Paris with Full Military Graveside Honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard.
