Joe A. Post

Joe A. Post, 50, of Jonesboro, died at 11:34 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

He was born on March 23, 1959, in Jonesville, Mich., the son of Jack and Mariam Post.

He married Betty Spurlock on Nov. 16, 2002, in Wolf Lake.

He was a member of Trinity Tabernacle Church in Jonesboro and was employed by Union County Hospital in Anna.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Post of Jonesboro; one son, Joe A. Post of Dongola; two stepsons, Gary (Renee) Knight of Anna and Richard (Dee) Knight of Jonesboro; one stepdaughter, Rhonda Knight of Carbondale; two brothers, John Post of Parma, Mich., and Jeff Post of Horton, Mich.; several step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Post.

Funeral services were Monday, Dec. 7, at 1 p.m. at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with the Rev. Geoffery Bond officiating.

Burial was in Casper Cemetery near Anna.

Memorials can be made to the family of Joe Post.

Military rites were conducted at the cemetery by the VFW’s Carroll P. Foster Post No. 3455 in Anna.

Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro was in charge of arrangements.
