John L. “Jack” Starr

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong style=""><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family:">John L. “Jack” Starr, age 68 of Anna, died at 9:00 am, Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Union County Hospital in Anna.<span style=""> </span> He was born on April 19, 1942 in Galesburg, IL, the son of Marion S. and Eva (Boen) Starr.<span style=""> </span></span></strong></p>

<p style="text-indent: 0.5in;" class="MsoNormal"><strong style=""><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family:">John was a member of the Laborers Local # 773. John was a member of the Elco Baptist Church. John first married Janet Sue Carter, later he married Kathryn Wright Chapman. Kathryn preceded him in death Feb. 22, 2010.</span></strong></p>

<p style="text-indent: 0.5in;" class="MsoNormal"><strong style=""><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family:">Survivors include his former wife Janet Sue Starr, of Jonesboro; five sons Kevin ( Michele) Starr, Jeff (Linda) Starr, Ron Chapman, Clifford Treece all of Anna, and Richard Chapman of New Port Richey, FL ; one daughter Dorinda Treece of Anna;<span style=""> </span> fifteen Grandchildren Kevin L. Starr Jr., Brandon Starr, Ashley Starr, Jacob Starr, Haley Pulliam, Letisha Pugh, Leneisha Pugh, Makaila Smith, Tara Tite, Josh Tite, Darren Tite, Amber Chapman, Ronnie Chapman, Joey Chapman, and Nikki Treece; seventeen Great-Grandchildren, Serenity McHughes, Nicholas Chapman, Jacob Chapman, Skylie Fisher, Joeseph Chapman, Jr., Jordan Chapman, Brooke Starr, Bryce Moore, Angel Starr Fox, Blake Cast, Brennan Pullium, Isabella Alverez, PePe Alverez, Eli Huff, Kaleb Bauer, Kylie Dailey, and Kaitlyn Starr; a brother, Raymond Starr of Houston, TX; and a sister Terrie (Gus) Autry of Springfield. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Gerald Starr, Billy Dean Starr and Jimmy Lee Starr.</span></strong></p>

<p style="text-indent: 0.5in;" class="MsoNormal"><strong style=""><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family:">Funeral Services for John L. “Jack” Starr will be Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. Billy Carter officiating. Friends may call Friday, December 10, 2010 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery.<span style=""> </span> Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association and envelopes will be available at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.</span></strong></p>
