Kindness was appreciated

To the editor,

To the Cobden commu-nity: Your kindness has touched and amazed me.

I thought I was attending my mom's birthday party and was surprised to learn it was a fundraiser for me and my family.

I still can hardly believe the amount of money that was raised – simply incredible. It will help me and my children so much.

My mom, the good Mayor Molly (Beckley) and my sister Pat are blessed to live in your community with all of you folks.

I also appreciated the opportunity to educate others about inflammatory breast cancer and getting to meet Karen Miller, a fellow IBC survivor.
