Louis T. Moreland

Mr. Louis T. Moreland, age 88, of Anna, died at 11:50 p.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2014 in the Chateau Girardeau, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born June 25, 1925 in Cobden, the son of Tullie E. and Afton Stout Moreland. He married Mary Ann Cruse on December 31, 1949. She preceded him in death on July 4, 2013.

Louis is survived by his son, Terry (Sheila) Moreland of Anna; daughter, Nancy (Alan) Hult of Gainesville, FL; one grandchild, Bryanne Roemer; two great-grandchildren, Adeline Grace Roemer and Louis John David Roemer; one brother, Raymond Lee (Bonnie) Moreland of Anna; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Mary Ann Moreland.

Louis was a member of the Anna First Baptist Church. He was a fireman at the Anna State Hospital; later he worked for the Anna Ready Mix and farmed throughout his life. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Funeral services for Mr. Louis T. Moreland will be held privately in the Anna City cemetery. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace C. Clark Scholarship at Century High School 4721 Shawnee College Drive Ullin, IL 62992 or to the donor’s choice. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
