Luis Carlos Gonzalez, 29, of Jonesboro, died at 9:01 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015 in Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. He was born Oct. 8, 1985 in Monterrey, Mexico, the son of Jose L. Gonzalez and Dora V. Trevino.

He is survived by his son, Daymion Azael Gonzalez; one daughter, Aleeyah Mia Gonzalez; mother, Dora V. Gonzalez of Jonesboro; father, Jose L. Gonzalez of Mexico; two sisters, Dora E. Gonzalez of Chaffee, Missouri, Nora V. Gonzalez of Dallas, Texas; one brother, Alex Gonzalez of Jonesboro; maternal grandmother, Evelia C. Trevino of Mexico; paternal grandmother, Maria Gonzalez of Mexico; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jose S. Trevino and paternal grandfather, Felipe Gonzalez.

He was a 2004 graduate of Anna-Jonesboro Community High School. He played Wildcat football for four years and was on the wrestling team. He enjoyed attending concerts and currently was attending nursing school. Luis enjoyed spending time with his children and his family.

Funeral services were at 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Father Federico Higuera officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice. Envelopes will be available in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
