Major winter storm predicted for Christmas night

The Union County region is making preparations for a major winter storm set to strike Christmas night.
From Jim Rasor, WSIL TV:
"Latest from our Adonis model - no significant change in SIL, slight drift in main track to th enorth, back similar to what we thought 2 days ago, bottom line is 6-10" forecast for most of SIL is still solid ... isolated heavier totals are possible, but blowing snow continues to be my biggest concern. WKY numbers smaller again, tough call there with rain switchover the key. Snow in WKY will have more water under it which could lead to icy road conditions."
