Marilyn J. Eiceman

Marilyn J. Eiceman, age 54, of Marion, IL passed away with her family by her side at 11:15 a.m., on Friday, January 11, 2013, at her home.

She was born on Thursday, June 26, 1958, in Anna, IL the daughter of Ray E.  and Lois V. (Smith) Brasel.

Marilyn attended school in Anna, IL and was a graduate of Anna-Jonesboro High School in 1976. She went on to attend Southeast Missouri State University of Cape Girardeau, MO where she received her Bachelor Degree in Speech-Therapy.

She was united in marriage to Jerry D. Eiceman on Saturday, August 4, 1979, in Cape Girardeau, MO and together they have shared over thirty-three years of marriage.

Marilyn’s working career was as a Kindergarten Teacher at Washington School in Marion, IL for twelve years. She loved each of her students as if they were her own.   

She was a member of the Second Baptist Church of Marion, IL.

In her spare time she enjoyed sewing and cooking for the many family gatherings. She especially loved spending time with her family and many friends. Those now left behind will cherish the many memories that have been created.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry D. Eiceman of Marion, IL; daughter and son-in-law, Ashleigh N. and Richard L. Ozment of Marion, IL; son, Jason D. Eiceman and his companion, Jami L. McNeill of Nashville, TN; two grandchildren, Marleigh D. Ozment and Maximus D. Ozment both of Marion, IL; father, Ray E. Brasel of Anna, IL; brother, Richard L. Brasel of Cobden, IL; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dale and Helen Eiceman of Arnold, MO, other extended family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lois V. Brasel on November 6, 2010.         

Arrangements for Marilyn J. Eiceman were entrusted to the Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 N. Court Street, of Marion, IL.

The time of visitation for family and friends was on Sunday, January 13th, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation resumed from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 14th at Second Baptist Church, located at 308 South Russell Street in Marion.

Following the time of visitation the funeral service was at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Mark Mohler presiding.

Interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion, IL.

For those who preferred, memorial contributions were made to “The Family of Marilyn Eiceman”. Memorial contribution envelopes were available at the funeral home and the church or were mailed in care of Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, P.O. Box 370, Marion, IL 62959.
