Mavis Marlene Cook

<p style="text-indent: 0.5in; line-height: 150%;" class="MsoNormal"><strong style="">Mrs. Mavis Marlene Cook, age 72 of Anna, formerly of Leslie, MO., died at 11:55 A.M. Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at her home in Anna. She was born September 12, 1938 in White Oak, MO., the daughter of Arvil and Mamie Hicks Hankins. She married Donald Lee Cook on May 31, 1958 in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death.</strong></p>

<p style="text-indent: 0.5in; line-height: 150%;" class="MsoNormal"><strong style="">Mavis is survived by her two sons, Ricky RD Williams Sr of Anna, and Scott Cook of Almeggdo, NM.; three daughters, Lana Kaye (Roger) Glasco of Anna, Brenda Faye Hampton of Caseyville, Donna Marie (Jeffery) Pratt of Robertsville; fourteen grandchildren, Tara Joy Yancey-Brokovich, Ricky RD and Shane Williams, Bruce Shekell, Alisha Cook-Malcolm, Donald Thomas Cook, Cyndil Kaye Cook, Christina Cook, Amber Dawn Cook, Brandy Lee Pratt, Michael Cook, Stephen Cook, Gregory Cook, Sydney Cornell; ten great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Yancey, Peyton Brokovich, Erika Brokovich, Makyla Jones, Michael Malcolm, Xavier Malcolm, Tyler Malcolm, Tera Turner, Jerrod Turner, Caleb Shekell; two sisters, Melba Kellim of Hoxie AR., Phyllis Tribble of Pocahontas, AR.; one brother, Clinton Hankins of St. Louis, MO.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald; one son, Billy Ray Cook; three brothers, Doyle, Bobby, and Arvil (Sonny) Hankins; and one sister, JoAnne White.</strong></p>

<p style="text-indent: 0.5in; line-height: 150%;" class="MsoNormal"><strong style="">Mavis was a member of the Gundaker Bankers Real Estate Million Dollar Club.</strong></p>

<p style="text-indent: 0.5in; line-height: 150%;" class="MsoNormal"><strong style="">Funeral services for Mrs. Mavis Marlene Cook were held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 27, 2010 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden with Pastor Roger Glasco and Rev. Kenneth Holland officiating. Interment will be in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis on Monday. Friends may call from 5 to 8 P.M. Friday, November 26, 2010 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden.</strong></p>
