<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Melvin Lee Hunter, 90, of Anaheim, California died August 21, 2011 at Karlton Residential Care Center in Anaheim, California.</span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;"> </span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Melvin was born on January 4, 1921 in Carterville, Illinois to Melvin L. and Sadie Belle(Proctor) Hunter.<span style=""> </span></span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;"> </span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">As a young man he spent his childhood years living at Illinois Soldier and Sailor’s Home in Normal, lllinois. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. <span style="">  </span>Melvin worked as an optician his adult life.</span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;"> </span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">He is survived by 2 sons; Doug Hunter of Arizona and<span style=""> </span> Stephen Hunter of California.</span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">1 brother: Ernest(Mary) Hunter of Klamath Falls, Oregon. 1 sister-in-law: Ruby Hunter of Anna .</span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">2-nieces and 5 nephews.</span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;"> </span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, Lowell, Charles, Robert “Bob”Hunter and Olis Tregoning.</span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;"> </span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Private graveside services were held Friday, November 4, 2011 at 2:30PM. at Anna Cemetery.</span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;"> </span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Crain Funeral Home Anna-Jonesboro was in charge of arrangements.</span></strong></p>
