Meridian set to host regional

Dongola, Cobden and Shawnee will compete in the Class 1A high school boys’ basketball regional tournament at Meridian High School in Mounds Feb. 20-24.
Meridian has been awarded the top seed, followed by Egyptian, Cairo, Century, Dongola, Shawnee and Cobden.
Century will play Dongola at 7:30 p.m Monday, Feb. 20.
On Tuesday, Feb. 21, Egyptian will play Cobden at 6 p.m. and Cairo will play Shawnee at 8:10 p.m.
On Wednesday, Feb. 22, Meridian will play the winner of the Century-Dongola game at 6 p.m. and the winners of Tuesday’s games will play each other at 8:10 p.m.
The championship game is scheduled to be played at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24.
