Molly Johnson joins SIU School of Medicine

Molly Tillay Johnson has joined the medical staff at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine as a pediatric/family nurse practitioner.

Johnson is providing patient services at Southern Illinois Family Medicine in Carbondale. 

She also is a faculty member for the medical school’s doctoring program for first-year medical students in Carbondale.

Johnson previously was a family nurse practitioner with Rural Health Inc. in Anna from 1985 to 2010 and the Shawnee Health Center Migrant Camp in Cobden from 1994 to 2000, as well as at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pa., in 1983-84.

 Johnson completed her master’s degree in nursing at Lienhard School of Nursing in Pleasantville, N.Y. in 1982.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology at Washington University in St. Louis in 1980.

She is certified as both a pediatric and family nurse practitioner. 

She is a member of the American College of Nurse Practitioners and Illinois Society of Advanced Practice Nurses.

A resident of Alto Pass, Johnson is married to Dan Johnson and they have two sons.
