Multiple Charges FiledIn Connection With Incident
A Union County man faces multiple charges in connection with an alleged February incident.
Union County State's Attorney Tyler Edmonds reported that charges have been filed against Thomas A. Bible, 25, of Anna, in connection with an alleged Feb. 26 incident.
Bible is charged with pointing a small handgun at an Anna man during the incident.
Edmonds said Bible faces the following charges: armed habitual criminal, a Class X felony; unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, a Class 2 felony; possession of a firearm without a requisite firearm owners identification card, a Class 3 felony.
Also, two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, a Class 2 felony; criminal trespass to a motor vehicle and aggravated assault, both Class A misdemeanors.
Edmonds said that Bible was taken into custody by Officer Shawn Knupp of the Anna Police Department.
Law enforcement personnel from the Anna Police Department and the Union County Sheriff's Department took part in the arrest.
Bible is being held on $100,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, in Union County Circuit Court in Jonesboro.
