Alto Pass plans to host annual Springfest celebration Saturday

An annual Springfest celebration is planned Saturday, May 28, in downtown Alto Pass.

Springfest is presented by local sponsors and the Alto Pride Community Group.

Funds raised at the celebration will help to pay the remaining balance of the cost of construction for restrooms in the park in downtown Alto Pass.

Here's a look at the schedule of events which are planned during Springfest:

7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., pancake breakfast, with pancakes, sausage links and drinks.

8 a.m. to 4 p.m., trade fair.

8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., silent auction in community center.

9 a.m., bake sale.

9 a.m., fire department water fights. All area fire departments are invited to participate. For more information, or to register for the event, contact Alto Pass Fire Chief Luke McCann at 618-697-0199.

11 a.m. to 1 p.m., kids games in the park.

11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., lunch in the community center; barbeque, ham and beans, cornbread, slaw and drinks will be served.

1 p.m., veterans memorial service.

2 p.m., Alto Pass school reunion roll call.

3 p.m., meat raffle drawing, 50/50 drawing.
