Anna author’s newest book coming in October

Pamela Hearon of Anna has a new book coming out titled “Gaining Visibility” in October.

This book is a different genre from her past novels. Instead of romance, her new book is considered women’s fiction and is published through Kensington Publishing Corporation.

“It’s a different and exciting move,” Hearon said, though the story still has strong romantic elements.

“Gaining Visibility” is about 48-year-old Julia, who battled breast cancer and won, but repulsed by her ravaged body, her husband leaves her for a younger woman.

With her daughter moving to Alaska for a new job and her beloved mother-in-law being moved into a nursing home, Julia decides to celebrate her victory by hiking Italy’s Cinque Terre.

While hiking, she’s injured by a rock – one that happens to belong to a 30-something stone mason named Vitale.

Reluctantly, she accepts his insistent offer of lodging while she recovers and through him, she starts to learn how to accept herself.

“This one is the book of my heart,” Hearon said. She is a breast cancer survivor.

“The subject is not covered a lot in fiction. I wanted to tell a story that identified with all ages,” she said.

Hearon continues to write and already has a portion of her next adventure on paper, which is also women’s fiction.

At the end of “Gaining Visibility,” there will be questions for discussions for book clubs to use.
