Anna School District No. 37 has scheduled student registration for Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 6-7.
Registration is planned Aug. 6 for students in pre-kindergarten through 2nd grade.
Registration is scheduled Aug. 7 for students in grades 3 through 8.
Registration hours are slated from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day in the lower gymnasium at Anna Junior High School in Anna.
All students entering pre-kindergarten through 8th grade must register.
School officials note that all parents who want to register a child must bring proof of residency. Two forms of proof are required.
One Category I document is required. Category I documents include a most recent property tax bill, mortgage papers, a signed and dated lease and proof of last month's payment, a letter of residence from a landlord in lieu of lease (form provided by district), a letter of residence to be used when a person seeking to enroll students is living with a district resident (form provided by district).
One Category II document also is required.
Category II documents include a driver's license, vehicle registration, voter registration, a most recent cable TV or credit card bill, a current public aid card, a current homeowners/renters insurance policy and premium payment receipt, a most recent gas, electric or water bill.
Parents/guardians who want to apply for free or reduced meals must bring the previously noted documentation plus the child's birth certificate and Social Security card.
