College hosts festival

Shawnee Community College near Ullin hosted its first Family Festival on Oct. 29.
The college said the festival was held as a way to give back to the local community.
More than 400 people attended the event, which featured free hot dogs, popcorn, games, candy, hayrides, inflatables and many more activities. The college plans to host the festival annually.
