Cretaceous Hills program planned

The Cretaceous Hills of Southern Illinois will be the topic of a program planned Saturday, June 25, at the Barkhausen Cache River Wetlands Center near Cypress.
The free program, set for 1 p.m., will be presented by naturalist John Schwegman.
The wetlands center is located at 8885 State Route 37, three miles south of Cypress. For more information, call 618-657-2064.
The Cretaceous Hills are characterized by rolling hills of sand, gravel, clay and bottomlands.
Schwegman’s program will be about the plants, animals and natural communities of the Cache River basin in Pope and Massac counties.
