Electric co-op plans annual meeting

The Southern Illinois Electric Cooperative plans to have its annual meeting Thursday, Aug. 4.

The meeting will be at Shawnee Community College near Ullin.

Registration is scheduled from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Entertainment is planned from 5 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. A business meeting begins at 6 p.m.

Registered members of the cooperative will receive a $15 bill credit and a gift for attending.

Those who plan to attend are asked to bring registration papers which were found in their July billing.

They also can bring canned goods to exchange for LED bulbs.

Member prize drawings are planned, as are prizes for children ages 10 and under.
