Magical reading event set

Chris Egleston, the “Reading Magician,” is scheduled to present his “Readers Are Winners Show” at the Jonesboro Public Library on July 26 at 2 p.m.

Egleston uses magic, comedy and audience participation to teach about the fun and importance of reading. He encourages his audience to read – both to learn and have fun.

During the program, Egelston tells children and parents to read about anything that interests them: science, pets, sports, magic, whatever, because the more you read the better you will be at it.

He also relates how he learned most of his magic from the 600 magic books he owns.

Egelston regularly performs for all types of organizations and their events including schools, corporate events, churches and more. He can be reached toll-free at 1-800-341-6954 or on his website at
