Reading is truly magic

The Jonesboro Public Library hosted a magic show on Tuesday, July 26. The show, "Reading is Magic," was presented by Chris Egelston, "the reading magician."

Egelston introduced several magic tricks to the kids, including turning an invisible cake into a toy snake, making "Super Frog" disappear and reappear, and transporting the librarian's wedding ring from a bandana in a child's hand to a small ring case behind Egelston.

The kids were encouraged to read and helped Egelston fix "broken" wands and decorate a coloring book with the magic words, "Reading is Magic."

The show concluded Jonesboro Public Library's story hour program that took place on Tuesdays during July. Photos by Amber Skelton.
