Single-car crash results in death

The Illinois State Police District No. 22 said in a news release that 29-year-old Johnathan Travis Lee, of Mounds, died early Friday morning, July 15, from a single-car crash.
The driver later identified as Lee, was traveling west on Ozark Road approaching US 45.
He failed to stop at the stop sign and continued through the intersection before driving down an embankment.
The car rolled to a rest on its roof. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to the release.
Lee was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into the crash continues.
