State’s attorney reports sentencing of six persons
Union County State’s Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds reported the sentencing of six persons to the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Alex E. Pulliam, 21, of Tunnel Hill has been sentenced to three years after pleading guilty to aggravated battery, a Class 3 felony.
Pulliam struck a Union County Sheriff’s Office deputy while in the holding area at the sheriff’s office in March.
Ashley M. Wilson, 33, of Anna, has been sentenced to three years after pleading guilty to aggravated driving while under the influence of drugs, a Class 2 felony.
Wilson was arrested in December 2014 following a traffic stop by the Cobden Police Department.
Kyle D. Weatherington, 31, of Harrisburg, has been sentenced to three years after pleading guilty to burglary, a Class 2 felony.
Weatherington was arrested in May 2015 following an investigation by the Anna Police Department.
The investigation showed he entered an Anna retailer in February 2015 with the intent to commit a forgery.
The sentence will run consecutively to a six year sentence for residential burglary which was imposed in Saline County.
James Garrett, 47, of Cobden, has been sentenced to three years after pleading guilty to knowingly giving false information, a Class 3 felony.
Garrett was arrested in May 2015 after giving false information by failing to report an internet protocol address in his sex offender registration as required by the Sex Offender Registration Act.
Joshua A. Parker, 26, of Cobden, has been sentenced to 18 after pleading guilty to one count of harassment by telephone, a Class 4 felony.
Parker repeatedly made calls to his estranged wife in October 2015 with the intent to harass.
Parker was arrested in December 2015 following an investigation by the Union County Sheriff’s Office. The charge was elevated to a felony based upon a prior conviction.
Joshua L. Burton, 20, of Tamms, has been sentenced to three years with a recommendation of impact incarceration after admitting a petition to revoke probation for the original offense of methamphetamine manufacturing materials, a Class 2 felony.
Burton was arrested in March 2014 following an investigation by the Union County Sheriff’s Office/Union County Drug Task Force.
