Union County Hospital welcomes new doctor

Union County Hospital welcomed Dr. Suzanne Clarke as a new primary care provider to the Convenient Care Clinic in Anna on Thursday, July 20, with a reception in her honor.

Clarke comes to the Southern Illinois area from Savannah, Ga., citing the scenery as a motivation. “It’s beautiful,” she said. 

Clarke’s responsibilities at the hospital will include preventative care, treatment of everyday illnesses and the management of chronic conditions for patients of all ages. She will work in the Family Care Center and oversee physicians’ assistants.

Clarke earned her medical degree at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, and completed her family practice residency in Pennsylvania. She has spent more than 20 years in family medicine.
