VFW Auxiliary to give away school supplies

The Auxiliary to Veterans of Foreign Wars Carroll P. Foster Post No. 3455 plans to host a school supply “give away” for needy children on Sunday, Aug. 14, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. (or while supplies last) at the post home at 70 VFW Ln., Anna.  

The children need to be present when picking up supplies. If possible, please bring a list of supplies that your child needs.

Each child in grade kindergarten through 8th grade will be allowed to put their name into a drawing to be taken for a $100 shopping spree with an auxiliary member to purchase school clothes. The Men’s Auxiliary is sponsoring this part of the giveaway. 

Five names will be drawn at 4 p.m. to see who gets to go on the shopping spree. The post will call the winning children. You do not have to be present at 4 p.m.
